... für diejenigen die (wie ich) mit den kryptischen Abkürzungen bei den Bonneville Typen Bezeichnungen nicht immer was anfangen können :-k

T120/R/C/V/RV
Home and general export model. R was export only, C was competition model with high-level pipes. V was five-speed, VR added a front disc brake.

T120TT
1964 export Dirt Track Racing model of the T120C for the US East Coast. 'Thruxton' was a factory homologated road race models to special order.

T 140V/RV
First T140, the 'V' stood for five-speed transmission. Built from 1972 and 1978. RV was export model.

T140J/LE
1977 limited edition of 1000 each (plus 400 for Commonwealth export) of the T140V in US and UK spec, to commemorate the Queen's Silver Jubilee. LE was 250 bikes for the royal wedding in 1981.

T 140E/ES/AV
"E" for emissions, for the US market. New Amal carbs and Lucas electronic ignition. ES was electric start, AV had anti-vibration engine mounts.

T140D/TSX
Cast wheels in black/gold scheme only. US version had a special siamesed exhaust system. TSX was custom styled with 16in rear wheel and stepped seat.

T 140W TSS
Eight-valve cylinder head and a revised crank to reduce vibration.

HARRIS T140
Built under licence 1985-88 by Les Harris after the Meriden factory closed and featuring significantly more Italian and German component parts.
